I’ve always been the kind of player who pushes games as far as they can go. In Pokémon, I had to catch them all. In Magic: The Gathering, I was the one building and testing decks late into the night. In MapleStory, I’d grind until my eyes burned just to hit the next level cap.

For me, games were never just pastimes. They were worlds to live in, challenges to conquer, and collections to treasure. I loved the grind. I loved the feeling of hitting 100%. And most of all, I loved the community that formed around these games — people sharing strategies, trading cards, celebrating victories together.

But after years of playing, something started growing inside me: the dream of creating a game of my own.

At first, I thought maybe I could join an open-source project. I searched around, hoping to find a community where I could contribute — something alive, something with the same energy and passion I had. But nothing really matched. Either the projects were inactive, or they weren’t the kind of game I wanted to build.

So I decided to start from scratch.

That’s how Starfall Catastrophe was born.

This is my own independent, original trading card game. Every hero, every faction, every rule, every card effect has been designed by me. The artwork is generated with AI tools under my direction — no stock images, no borrowed characters, no recycled designs. The world, the lore, the mechanics — all of it came out of the same love I had as a player, but now channeled into creation instead of just grinding levels.

For me, Starfall Catastrophe isn’t about copying what’s already out there. It’s about building something new, something I would want to play, and something that other players might want to shape and grow with me.

I want it to be more than just my project. My hope is that it becomes a shared quest — a game that doesn’t just come from one designer, but grows with its community. A game where players don’t just play cards, but help shape the world they’re in.

That’s the dream.

As Starfall Catastrophe heads into its Kickstarter launch, I want to make this clear:

  • Starfall Catastrophe is my original creation.
  • It is not connected to Starfall Education Foundation, Star Wars, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, or any other brand.
  • All lore, characters, rules, and artwork are original.

This project is the result of countless late nights, endless iterations, and the same obsessive love for games that once had me grinding in MapleStory or testing combos in Magic. Except now, instead of chasing someone else’s cap, I’m building something entirely my own.

Whether the Kickstarter soars or stumbles, whether this game becomes a worldwide phenomenon or stays a small passion project, Starfall Catastrophe is proof of one thing: when a player decides to become a creator, something magical happens.

This is my game. This is my world. And I invite you to join me in it.
