When creating Starfall Catastrophe, one of our core motivations has always been to deliver powerful gameplay. A trading card game must feel deep, strategic, and rewarding — and as the game evolves, so too will the layers of complexity and mastery it offers. At the same time, we recognize that collectibility is just as important. For players and collectors alike, gameplay and collectibility can go hand in hand, each reinforcing the other.
That’s why our first release launches in standard TCG size (63 × 88 mm) printed on premium black core paper. Black core paper is the industry standard for competitive card games like Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon. It uses a dyed black center layer sandwiched between two high-quality card faces. The advantages are clear:
- Durability – Less light passes through, reducing wear and play-through visibility.
- Premium feel – A crisp snap and professional shuffle feel that serious players expect.
- Opacity – Prevents card backs or inserts from being visible, ensuring fair play.
By matching the specifications of major TCGs, our cards will not only feel familiar in the hand, but they will also be recognizable to grading companies such as PSA and BGS. This ensures long-term collectibility and allows our cards to be housed in standard protective slabs, sleeves, and deck cases.
Starfall Catastrophe is built for both play and collection — a universe to master on the table, and a treasure to preserve on the shelf.
